Step One

Identify your personal food group targets using a tool from USDA ChooseMy Plate.gov. Go to

MyPlatePlan

and enter your age, sex, height, weight, and physical activity level. Your results will yield a screen that provides a calorie level recommendation, click on that number and you will see your recommended amounts for each food group.

Step Two

You will track and enter all the food you eat, including all drinks (with and without calories), condiments, etc. for 24 hours including at least one breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal, in addition to snacks. This assignment is an analysis of your personal eating habits and to make you more aware of what you eat. You will NOT be graded based on what you eat, so be honest!

My Fitness Pal
