• TeamSTEPPS is the evidence-based teamwork
system whose purpose is to enhance patient
outcomes by enhancing various interpersonal skills
especially communication skills among all the
healthcare professionals (Chen, 2019).
• Goal
• To make highly efficient and effective medical
teams that improve the use of people,
information, and resources to get significant
clinical outcomes for patients.
Intervention of support
• The interventions of TeamSTEPPS include
Check-back that is following
• Sender gives the message to the receiver
• Receivers get the message and give feedback
to the sender (Welsch, 2018)
• Sender enables to double-check to make sure
that message was gained.
Intervention of support
• Some other interventions for TeamSTEPPS is arrangement
of team events for training of the healthcare professionals
