Globalization will have a significant impact on industrial relations and unions in countries. Organizations in the Caribbean are experiencing significant challenges as it relates to labour relations. One such challenge with globalization is competition for a skilled workforce.
Assume the role of Human Relations Consultants, who have been contracted to provide assistance to the senior management team of an organization (from a sector of your choice), who are preparing their five (5) year strategic plan.
Discuss the issues surrounding this challenge and formulate four (4) strategies the organization can implement to reduce and overcome them.

1.Unskilled Labour Force (Offer training, employ strategies to match skills with labour market requirement e.g. the requirement of hotel workers to become bilingual).

2.Global Competition for Skilled Workforce (The organization could offer competitive salaries and incentives in order to attract and retain qualified workers, provide constant training to keep abreast of new ways of carrying out tasks ? which would result in organizations becoming more competitive.
