The implementation process is vital to a new system selection because it ensures everything is operational and used,
ensuring it meets quality standard and usable by staff members. Effective and frequent communication is a key factor to
discuss appropriate and clear objectives and goals. Staffs need to learn, manage, navigate new systems. It is crucial to train
all the users, it may be time-consuming but everyone needs to learn how to work the system. That’s why it is important to
ask questions or concerns if needed. It is significant to know the implementation risk in the health care, some includes the
cost and security/ privacy violations, improper use. For example, EHR related errors can lead to misconceptions that
endanger patient safety or decrease the quality of care. Security/privacy violations is something we also must pay close
attention to because we don’t want to violate HIPAA.

The implementation process when acquiring a new software or system is essential because every step of the way to make
sure that everything runs smoothly in the process. The detailing when selecting a system is very important because this
system will have to be perfect in order to function as you want it and to store all confidential information. The process can
take anywhere from months to years in order for the implementation process to be set and ready. In this century everything
is electronic now a days and most healthcare facilities have already transitioned into their software of choice but this did not
happen from one day to another it took every facility time for everyone to come together and select an EHR system of their
choice. The selection process is the most difficult part in my opinion because everyone in this process including stakeholders
have to agree on the expectations of the system but by doing this as a team will help make this process easier and may
reduce the time of transition or implementation process.
