Besides Six Sigma, two other health care improvement process strategies are:

1)    Improve Hospital Patient Flow with Machine Learning-

Health systems can leverage machine learning and predictive models to improve patient flow for different departments throughout the organization. Improving hospital patient flow results in reduced patient wait times, reduced staff overtime, improved patient outcomes, and improved patient and clinician satisfaction. To approach this issue, health care organizations can build a data science team, create machine learning pipelines to aggregate all data sources, and form a comprehensive leadership team to govern data.

2) Transform the Delivery of Care in the Emergency Department-

Overcrowding in the emergency department (ED) has been associated with increases in inpatient mortality, length of stay, and costs for admitted patients. Emergency department wait times and patients leaving without seeing a qualified medical provider are indicators of overcrowding. To approach this issue, it is essential to revise high-impact workflows, revise staffing patterns, and improve patient experience (Young, 2022). Additionally, another solution would be to educate patients on when to go to the ER. The current health care organization that I work at continues to educate our clients about when to go to the ER to prevent overcrowding,
