For each course unit, you will be given an option of -4 labs to choose from
Select one lab to complete
Start labs early – they are due on the same day as other assignments
Labs are uploaded as PDF versions of worksheets. You can print them and write directly on them, and
then SCAN and upload, or answer questions in a word document.

Lab Submission Guidelines
Labs are related to material covered in class but may require additional internet research. The goal is to have you
pick something you are most interested in and further engage with that topic. You will turn in a lab report with
the answers to the questions in complete sentences and proper use of citations.

You may need to use the internet to find additional resources or maps – if you do, include proper

If the question requires you to draw on a figure or map, get creative. Some suggestions
Take a screenshot and edit using paint (windows) or preview (mac)
Take a photo and edit on your phone
Draw it on a piece of paper. Take a photo and embed it into the document
I will accept any method, just make sure it is clear and legible.
Save file with the name of the option you selected at the beginning of the file name (e.g. “Option 1 last
name” is a good file name).
Submit as a PDF (From Microsoft Word > Save as > PDF. From Google Docs: File > Download >
PDF)

Lab report format (REQUIRED)
1. Cover page with the unit number, date of submission, and lab option chosen
2. Lab must be legible and clearly reproduced, either as a typed document with answers to each question,
typed directly into the PDF or in a Word document, or printed and handwritten and scanned. Do not
submit a bunch of images of the handwritten completed worksheets from your phone.
3. No spelling or grammar mistakes and I expect complete sentences where applicable
4. Label each section (exercise number & title, section number, question #s)
5. Do not type out the questions, but answer in complete sentences and number your answers. Make sure it
is clear which questions you are answering.
6. If the question includes a figure or map, get creative. Some suggestions
a. Take a screenshot and edit using paint (windows) or preview (mac)
b. Take a photo and edit on your phone (snapchat, instagram, markup, etc. all have features for
editing photos on your phone)
c. Draw it on a piece of paper. Take a photo and embed it into the document
d. I will accept any method, just make sure it is legible and includes all the necessary components.
