The HMH consultant assisted with building and aligning the curriculum with Read 180/System 44 with the use of the middle grades English Language Arts curriculum. This was resourceful, because I learned tools to adequately design a curriculum to meet the needs of the students. The consult taught me how to use the curriculum based on where the students test and what curriculum is required based on the content and grade level. I also learned how to build the curriculum based on the data analysis, considering intervention is to meet the personalized needs of student groups. Tools to evaluate the success of the curriculum was also provided.
