ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
Organization structure
Introduction
An organizational structure is a system that shows or showcases how particular activities are
directed by the company, for the company to achieve its goals. These activities can include laws,
responsibilities, and roles. (Bertacchini, et al. 2018) The importance of the organizational structure
is to determine how information flows between various levels in the organization. For this
assignment, I am going to create the organizational structure that I will like my organization to use.
Which is a hierarchical structure because my organization is large. Explanation of the
organizational chart, analysis of the organization chart based on Porter five forces, analysis of the
current contingency leadership model, leadership model recommendation, other identified actions
recommendation, and finally the information literacy.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
Organization chart
The organizational structure I will recommend for my organization to use is hierarchical.
Hierarchical organization structure is an organization construction where each unit in the
organization, excluding one is subordinate to a sole other units. In a business, the hierarchy
commonly comprises of particular power at the top with the following stages of power below
Board of directors

HR managerPurchasingmanager
Marketingdirector
Logisticsmanager
Accountant
Cashier
Section chief

Assistant HRmanager

them. (Harris, et al. 2019) This organizational structure is important because it will assist the
employees to comprehend numerous stages of leadership. This is since administration roles are
extra plainly described in this class of pyramid assembly. In having numerous levels of control,
processes run extra efficiently.
In my organization structure; my organization is headed by the board of directors, the main
responsibility of the board of directors is to strategy and manage goals and goals for the short and
long term good for the business and put devices in place to watch the development the aims. In this
respect, the board of directors must appraisal, comprehend and deliberate the business goals. Under
them is the C.E.O, the main role of the CEO is to manage the company's overall operations. They
are capable of delegating and directing agendas, driving profitability, and managing company
organizational structure, strategy and communicating with the board.
My organization is a construction firm, under the C.E.O, several line managers manage
various departments in the institution. These managers include; accounting manager, the main role
of the accounting manager is to oversee the financial information of the organization with the help
of accountants and cashiers. Project manager, the main role of the project manager is to plan,
organizing and direct the completion of particular projects for the organization while ensuring
these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope. Human resource manager, the main work
of the human resource manager is to lead and guide the routine purposes of the human resource
department that include hiring and interrogating staff, managing pay, benefits, and leaving and
applying business policies and does. Purchasing manager, the main role of a purchasing manager
is to lead the team that is accountable for obtaining goods and services for resale or the business
use. (Naciti, 2019) Marketing Manager, the main role of the marketing manager ids promotion and
placing of a brand or the products and services that a business sells and finally on logistics

manager, the main work of the logistics manager is to strategy, organize and observe logistics
processes such as warehousing, inventory, and conveyance and supply chain procedures.
In this organizational structure, the role of each line manager is closely related to the roles of
another line manager since they must work hand in hand to make sure that they deliver. For
instance, the financial manager should work with the purchasing manager to make sure that they
purchase the right resources for the company to use.
Analyze of the company based on porters five model
The Porter Five Forces ideal is an outline for measuring a business's competitive setting. A
business's profitability is prejudiced by the quantity and power of its competitive competitors,
possible new market competitors, providers, consumers, and replacement products. On the factor
of the potential of new entrants, our company is faced with a competitive challenge of new firms
entering the industry. On the power of the supplier, our firm has a competitive advantage since we
have efficient suppliers. On the factor of threat of substitutes, our firm is facing the threat of
substitutes because of the new entrants of firms, on the competition in the industry, my company
has a competitive advantage since it holds the biggest market share and finally on the power of
customers, my company values the power of customer that's why my company has a great
customer experience.
Current Leadership in my organization
The effectiveness of the leadership model that my organization is currently using is not
effective, this is because of lack of organizational changes and slow process in decision making.
The current leadership styles that are in place are; coaching and laissez-faire. In the coaching
leadership style, this is a leadership ship style that requires developing talent. This style or the

leader who uses this style seeks to unlock people's potential. (Lee, et al. 2019) While laissez-faire,
is the opposite of autocratic, this kind of leadership requires the least amount of oversight.
The effectiveness of these leadership styles is not impactful since these leadership styles, for
instance, laissez-faire provide less supervision. Employees are left to work on their own and on
coaching leadership, the leader spent most of the time developing the hidden talent of the workers
which can be time-consuming. I think the alternative leadership styles such as democratic
leadership will be impactful since it allows the leader to work with his subordinates which
promotes teamwork in the organization.
How to determine effective leadership
On how to determine effective leadership in the company, the organization must be able to
progress, foster growth and values, through the company profitability, evaluation of the company
strategic objectives, and examining the customer experience. Operative leaders comprehend what
is vital, convey what is significant, and exhibit desirable attitudes and behaviors. Unsuccessful
leaders are either uncertain about what matters or reluctant to rule out certain potentials.
Unsuccessful leaders are awful at articulating what is significant.
Sources of managerial power when leaders are effective
Managers and leaders service five usually recognized bases of power to impact their
assistants, and not all of these bases need a high rank to be operative. Power and influence are
derived from five sources: prize power, coercive authority, valid power, expert power, and referent
power.
Recommendations
7
ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
a) The leadership model changes that are not reflected in the current organization part 1 that
I will recommend is the transformational management style. This is because
transformational leaders motivate their staff through operative message and teamwork and
thus starting the path to achievement.
b) 1) uphold a solid link between the organization's task and its working resources
2) fine-tune departmental objectives and goals, as well as classify execution holes
3) Handle any problems that may arise in terms of internal efficiencies and efficiency.
