Start with the events that occur in the mouth and work your way through the gastrointestinal (GI) tract by explaining what happens to proteins in the stomach and small intestine.  Include the contributions of the pancreas to digestion, and be specific about which molecules are absorbed.  For example, proteins must be broken down into tripeptides, dipeptides, or free amino acids in order to be absorbed by the enterocytes.
