Requirements:
1- Do my part in yellow color.
2- 4 pages only.
3- Keep it simple English but still in academic writing level.
4- Please for the references, use reference that I can look at the internet for free.
5- I will send you our assignments we have done. So, in this assignment u build from what we have done in
my section. And also, I will send u documents that help and guide u to finish this assignment .
Assignment 2
Syllabus Description:
Write a minimum 6 to 10-page paper detailing/itemizing the outcome measures proposed for
the evaluation of identified program objectives. This review should include a detailed overview
of the literature and properties of select measures related to their reliability, validity,
functionality, and applicability to the outcomes desired to be measured. A clear rationale
supporting the use of the proposed tools should be presented.
Additional Guidance and Instruction:
This assignment builds upon work completed in the Program Design and Development class and
integrates content learned from Research I and Chapters 4 and 11 of the required text for this
class. Content summarized in this assignment serves as a foundation for content associated
with section three of the term paper (see syllabus). Guidelines for section three of thew term
paper (see syllabus) read as follows:
“3)
A description of the measurement tools/mechanisms to be used in the evaluation.
Include a brief literature review of the psychometric/measurement properties of any
standardized instruments and relevance to the problem, client system (including cultural
sensitivity and diversity concerns), and intervention. If a suggested measure has not been
tested for reliability and validity, details regarding how such properties would be tested must
be included. Attention should be given to limitations, if any, placed upon evaluation findings
given the measurement tools used. (20%)
Please note that your selection of Outcome Measures should follow a clear understanding of
what your outcome objectives are. Hence, it is of value to include at the start of this section an
itemization of your SMART Outcome Objectives. Some may have Process Objectives. That is
fine; however, primary focus for grading will address your outcome objectives. You are only
required to itemize the data sources, tools, measures/methods for measuring all your outcome
measures. Your choice of the most meaningful data and methods is graded, in part, based upon
criteria denoted with respect to Assignment #2. Namely, your review of measures should
include an overview of the literature and properties of select measures related to their
reliability, validity, functionality, and applicability to the outcomes desired to be measured. A
1
clear rationale supporting the use of the proposed tools should be presented. Everyone will
have received feedback on these issues earlier in the term. You should respond to that
feedback.”
In sum, this assignment should reflect any revision and refinement to your proposed SMART
program objectives with a heightened itemization of good outcome measures (guided by the
research literature, required readings, lecture and supplemental materials/references) for
gauging meaningful change with respect to the problems impacting the target population.
If more space is required given the nature and scope of your intervention and outcome
measures, papers can exceed these limits. A suggested outline for the paper is as follows:
Introduction
Briefly highlight the problem impacting a target population and identify the proposed
intervention and the outcome measures/indicators that will be the focus for measuring
change with respect to the problem. (1 paragraph)
Program/Intervention SMART Objectives (1-2 pages)
In this sub-section, you provide a detailed description of proposed program objectives. T
An itemization of specific SMART outcome objectives is required, including REVISIONS
to previously submitted objectives for which feedback has been received; including, but
not limited to Assignment #1 feedback and any project consultations with the instructor.
Detailed Description of Outcome Measures (4-8 pages).
This detailed review focuses on the outcome indicators/measures highlighted in the
outcome objectives denoted in the previous section. Each outcome measure and
associated data source is described in detail. Data sources can include (but are not
limited to): self-report, standardized measures, data gathered by clients and significant
others in real-life situations (self-monitoring), Goal Attainment Scales, independent
observations (video, audio, and content analysis–transcripts of sessions), observations
in real-life (field research), physiological indicators, case records, and secondary
analysis. Data can be qualitative and/or quantitative; mixed sources and methods and
data triangulation is encouraged. A clear rationale (evidence basis) supporting the use of
the proposed tools should be presented that makes full use the properties of select
measures related to their reliability, validity, functionality, and applicability to the
outcomes desired to be measured. For any standardized tool, any publication(s)
describing the content validity, criterion validity, reliability, or sensitivity of the
instrument in the target population (or parallel population) should be referenced here.
2
Information regarding how specific data (if applicable) is scored/calculated and
interpreted should be included.
