Abstract
Contribution: Your abstract should not exceed one page. Abstract text must be single-spaced with no paragraph breaks. Thus, the abstract for the completed study thesis should include all the elements of the study that were described in the thesis.
Background: You should: (a) limit the abstract to one typed page; (b) maintain the scholarly language used throughout the thesis; (c) keep the abstract concise, accurate, and readable; (d) use correct English; and the past tense (e) ensure each sentence adds value to the reader’s understanding of the study; and (f) use the full name of any acronym used again in the abstract, and include the acronym in parentheses.
Research Question: Do be sure to include any references or citations in the abstract when you make a statement of fact.
Methods: According to APA’s 6th ed. style requirements for the Abstract, unless beginning a sentence, use numerals, not words for numbers (American Psychological Association, 2010).
